Break My Beliefs: Slow Down to Speed Up

Break My Beliefs: Slow Down to Speed Up

Some things in life can deliver exponential returns:

  • One Instagram reel goes viral, and suddenly, you have thousands of new followers.
  • The right investment at the right time 100x’s your money in 30 days.

But there’s one area where exponential returns don’t exist: your health and fitness.

You can’t shortcut time.
You can’t luck your way into lasting results like hitting the jackpot at the casino.

As Alex Hormozi puts it: “There are no silver bullets, only golden BBs.”

  • Losing weight takes time.
  • Losing fat takes even longer.

How long? It depends on your goals, but in most cases, we’re talking years, not months—and definitely not weeks or days.

Cue the sad trombone: WOMP WOMP.

Here’s the reality:
You’ve got two choices.

  1. Give up. (Most people do when they realize results take longer than a 30-day challenge.)
  2. Accept the truth, play the long game, and trust the process.

Because guess what? Two years from now, you’ll still be here.
Why not commit to becoming a different person by then?

Or you can keep chasing the shiny new “solutions,” get upset when they don’t work, and start over for the 8,000th time.

Ask yourself:

  • Am I using novelty diets and workouts to distract myself from sticking to the basics?
  • Can I set a 1-2 year goal and actually be okay with it?

Play the slow game, and you’ll end up faster than everyone who’s stuck chasing shortcuts.

Beliefs into action, in under 3 minutes.

See you next week, my friends.
